Stan played football for Jesuit High School in Beaverton, Oregon before attending University of Colorado at Boulder where he was selected first team All-American as a tackle. He went on to play for the New Orleans Saints and finished his pro career with the San Diego Chargers. He even played in Super Bowl XXIX for the Chargers, a career highlight. After leaving the NFL, he went on to coach in the Arena Football League and served as head coach for Army at West Point.
Stan will continue his charity involvement in the Portland community and across the nation. He is the Co-Founder and Head Coach of Football Camps of America, a program for offensive and defensive linemen run by NFL veterans. He is also the Founder of the Black and Gold Classic, a non-profit fishing and sporting clay event that benefits the Green Beret Foundation and the Navy Seals Foundation.
