Wisconsin man Tasered at Tillamook Fred Meyer store

Patrick Uribe, 36, faces multiple charges

TILLAMOOK, Ore. (KOIN) — Dramatic cellphone video shows a Wisconsin man being Tasered by police after resisting arrest in the parking lot of a Fred Meyer store in Tillamook.

The Wednesday lunchtime incident shocked the residents of Tillamook, who described the store as normally quiet. Police said the man, later identified as Patrick Uribe, was beating a woman inside the store when employees stepped in.

Witnesses said loss prevention officers escorted him out of the store and called police. But when the law arrived to arrest him, Uribe broke free from 3 officers.

As he stood up and tried to get into his car, he was Tasered and fell to the ground.

The 36-year-old suffered minor injuries and was taken to the Tillamook Regional Medical Center before being cleared and carted off to jail.

Police said the woman who was assaulted in the store had been traveling with Uribe. She was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Uribe is now being charged with 4th-degree assault, assaulting a public safety officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
