ALOHA, Ore. (KOIN) — A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after a truck struck him early Friday morning on Tualatin Valley Highway.
Police said the crash happened shortly after 6 a.m. near TV Highway and Southwest 170th Avenue.
According to authorities, the truck was driving eastbound and had a green light when it struck the 20-year-old pedestrian — who did not have the right-of-way.
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with police before he was free to go.
The pedestrian was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Due to the crash, TV Highway at 170th was closed for nearly 2 hours — but has since reopened.
