Oregon students participate in Great ShakeOut drill

"Drop, cover and hold on tight" took place at 10:19 a.m.

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Students across Oregon participated in a national Great ShakeOut earthquake drill.

The drill happened at 10:19 a.m. Millions across the country participated with “drop, cover and hold on tight.”

The annual drills prepares students and staff for disaster response in the event of an earthquake.
