PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 17-year-old Vancouver driver died in a crash that critically injured his 15-year-old brother Wednesday night, police said.

The driver had already died when first responders got to the crash at Mill Plain Boulevard and SE 164th Avenue. His brother was rushed to an area hospital and is said to be in critical condition.

The driver was later identified as Dmitriy Deynega of Vancouver.

Investigators believe speed was a factor. The brother’s name has not been released.
