PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Good news, happy hour fans!

The Oregon Liquor Control Commission announced that effective July 1, bars and restaurants will be allowed to advertise happy hour pricing.

A rule had been in place that banned advertising price reductions for alcohol sold at bars and restaurants, aka Happy Hours.

The rule maintains prohibitions on advertising that encourages or promotes excessive or rapid consumption.
