PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Rescue crews helped a pair of lost hikers back to safety after they became lost on the Multnomah Falls Trail near Horsetail Falls.

According to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, the Greet Hornet team was able to find them because they had cell phones. Lt. Chad Gaidos said the area they got lost in was “not in a terribly difficult place,” and they made it back to the parking lot safely.

A Forest Service Ranger was injured in a fall from the trail while looking for the hikers.
