PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 66-year-old man was killed after crashing his motorcycle on Monday in Hood River County.

Oregon State Police say David Hall of Brookings swerved to avoid a load of lumber that had spilled onto Highway 35. An employee of the US Forest Service had been driving the load when it spilled going around a curve.

Hall was wearing protective equipment.

Officials continue to investigate the crash.
