3 injured when car drives onto sidewalk in Canby

CANBY, Ore. (KOIN) — Three people were injured when a truck drove onto a sidewalk in Canby Friday afternoon.

Police said the truck drove on the sidewalk along Cedar Street toward NW 1st Avenue. It hit several cars and two pedestrians before crashing to a stop in some bushes.

The pedestrians were teenagers who attend Canby High School, police said. One of them was taken to the hospital by Life Flight, but their current condition is unknown.

Witnesses said the truck was on fire before it crashed.

The driver was also injured and taken to the hospital to be checked out.

Police are still investigating what caused the crash.
