Bomb squad called due to suspicious object in Vancouver

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The Vancouver Police Department and local bomb squad were called after a “suspicious” object was found in the downtown area on Saturday.

The unidentified object was found inside of a sock in the 2300 block of Main Street, according to a Clark County dispatcher.

A few nearby businesses were evacuated as a result.

Bomb squad technicians took the object, and the scene was cleared by Saturday afternoon.

No further information on the object was immediately available.
