PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The master plans for developing the Zidell Yards in the South Waterfront have finally been revealed.

The industrial space between the Tilikum Crossing Bridge and the OHSU aerial tram is set to be developed into apartments, parks, office and retail space. There will also be a grocery store and a hotel, which the South Waterfront area currently does not have.

The 33-acre space has been used by the Zidell family as a manufacturing center. Construction will begin in late 2017 and the first phase will be complete in 2020.
