PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A 28-year-old man is accused of hindering the prosecution of a pending murder investigation.

Shelton McComb is expected to appear in court on Wednesday morning at the Multnomah County Justice Center.

The secret grand jury indictment against McComb was filed back in September, but was unsealed Tuesday afternoon when McComb was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center.

Police tell us that on Oct. 1, 2015, the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Ricky Dean Seaman in Sacramento, California. He was charged with the murder of 25-year-old Tyler Jeffrey Woods.

Woods’ body was found September 25, 2015. Police believe the murder was a result of a drug deal.

Court documents show that McComb provided Seaman with transportation following the homicide through October 1.

McComb was released from jail and ordered to appear in court on Wednesday.
