MONMOUTH, Ore. (KOIN) —  A 24-year-old woman was killed in a 2-car crash on Hwy 99W Saturday evening, according to Oregon State Police.

The crash reportedly happened around 6 p.m. on Hwy 99W near milepost 70 at the intersection of Suver Road.

Investigators believe a 2002 Ford F250 was driving westbound on Suver Road when it tried crossing Hwy 99W and was T-boned by a 2010 Honda, OSP said.

The passenger in the Ford, 24-year-old Sara Brown, died at the scene. The driver, 25-year-old Matthew Serry, was not injured in the crash. Investigators said both Brown and Serry, who were married, were not wearing their seatbelts.

The driver of the Honda, 23-year-old Cecilia Nicosia, was reportedly flown to Good Samaritan Medical Center with serious injuries.

Hwy 99W was closed for about 6 hours for an investigation.
