EUGENE, Ore. — Following a disappointing 4-8 season that put them last in the Pac-12, Oregon Ducks head coach Mark Helfrich appears to be on the hot seat.

USA Today Sports reported that Helfrich has not yet been fired, but UO athletic officials are preparing for a coaching search.

Helfrich is scheduled to have an end-of-sesaon news conference Sunday afternoon.

The Ducks lost to their cross-state rival Oregon State in the annual Civil War game on Saturday, 34-24. It was the first win for the Beavers in this rivalry since 2007.
