PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 58-year-old man died in a car crash in Damascus on Saturday evening, police say.

William D. Isakson of Boring was driving a 2004 Toyota Corolla east on Oregon Route 212 when the crash took place around 6 p.m. He crossed into the opposing lane of traffic and was hit by a 1998 Honda Accord, according to Oregon State Police.

Isakson was pronounced dead at the crash site.

The driver of the Accord survived and was hospitalized in Salem with non-life threatening injuries, according to authorities.

Multiple law enforcement agencies assisted with the crash.
