Gang enforcement team investigating 3 shootings

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The Portland gang enforcement team is investigating several shootings that happened Friday night.

Around 8 p.m. on November 25, officers responded to reports of gunfire on North Todd Street. No victims were found related to that shooting, but police learned several people were firing guns in the area.

Around 10 p.m., reports of gunfire came from NE 8th Ave and Broadway. Again, no victims or evidence of gunfire was found but witnesses told police several African American males fled the scene in different cars.

At 12:15 a.m. on November 26, a man was shot on the 700 block of SE Hawthorn Blvd. The victim was taken to hospital with serious but likely not life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses told police the suspect was an African American man in his 20s, about 5-foot-9-inches tall and 120 pounds. He was wearing dark clothing.

Portland police are investigating these shootings, but are not sure whether or not they are related at this time.
