PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The suspect in a Milwaukie shooting was arrested in Portland hours later for an unrelated crime on November 21.

According to Milwaukie police, Portland police arrested 31-year-old Long Thanh Vo and as he was being released from the Multnomah County Jail on Tuesday, Mulwaukie detectives took him into custody.

Thanh Vo is suspected in the shooting of a 25-year-old man who was treated for non life-threatening injuries. Investigators learned the victim and suspect know each other and it was not a random act, police said.

He is now being held at the Clackamas County Jail on charges of attempted murder, first degree assault, reckless endangering, delivery of a controlled substance (cocaine and heroin).
