Police: Gang member linked to strip club shooting

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Portland Police have arrested a 26-year-old man who they say is responsible for a shooting at Jags Clubhouse.

Claybourne Michael Crane is being held on charges of attempted aggravated murder, attempted murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, being a felon in possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of cocaine.

Crane is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, the shooting happened Friday November 18 at Jags Clubhouse, located at 605 North Columbia Boulevard. When police got on scene, they found a 22-year-old female inside the bar suffering from a gunshot wound.

We’ve learned that there was a fight outside the club and that Crane fired several shots towards a parked vehicle that had several people. The victim walked into the club to seek help.

As officers were investigating the shooting, police took a report about a possible carjacking in the area of Northeast Broadway and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at the 76 Gas Station.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted a 30-year-old female suffering from gunshot wounds. Police said she had been shot outside the club and there was no indication of a carjacking.
