PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. Wednesday for the Cascades above 3,000′.

Several inches of snow had fallen at the passes by early morning Wednesday. We expect 2″-5″ additional snow at pass level and 5″-8″ at the ski resorts. If you have travel plans that take you over the passes, plan for winter conditions.

Wednesday will be the chilliest day of the season so far with temperatures in the 40s for most of the day.

We’re mainly dry Thursday through Friday (can’t rule out an isolated shower) with steady rain returning late Friday night.

This weekend looks wet at times. The snow level will be above the passes (5-6,000′), but ski resorts could pick up several inches of fresh snow.
