Ian Daniel Inger faces attempted murder charges

ONTARIO, Ore. (KOIN) – A 27-year-old man was shot in the face and told police his friend did it.

The November 11 shooting left the man wounded and bloody, but able to walk to someone else’s house in the 700 block of East Island Road in Malheur County and told them he was shot.

Police arrived and the victim, whose full name has not been released, told police his friend, Ian Daniel Inger, shot him.

Inger was tracked down by cellphone data and taken into custody. He’s in the Malheur County Jail charged with attempted murder and 1st-degree assault.

No motive was released. But police confirmed the men are considered to be “friends.”
