Man freed after legs stuck in recycling center machine

He was freed from the machine around 4:30 p.m. with only minor injuries

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Firefighters rescued a man whose legs were stuck in a machine at a Southeast Portland recycling center Tuesday, officials said.

The man’s legs became stuck in the large machine at West Rock Recycling at 6328 SE 100th Avenue around 2:30 p.m., according to Portland Fire & Rescue.

He was freed from the machine around 4:30 p.m. with only minor injuries.

Oregon’s Occupational Safety & Health Administration is investigating.
