HILLSBORO, Ore. (KOIN) – A 52-year-old woman faces attempted murder and arson charges after Tigard police began an investigation early on November 5.

Sally Ann Bicandi appeared in court Monday to face the charges. However, the specific details of the attempted murder have not been released.

Tigard police spokesperson Jim Wolf told KOIN 6 News a criminal mischief report at the Motel 6, 10600 SW Fairhaven Street, was reported around 2 a.m. that day.

Around 4 a.m., Bicandi was taken by ambulance to Meridian Park for a health issue. Police went there around 5:20 a.m. and cited her for the criminal mischief, then took her back to the Motel 6.

An arson was reported at the Motel 6 around 6:45 a.m., and just 11 minutes later Bicandi was detained and taken to the Tigard Police Department. She was later booked into the Washington County Jail.

Bicandi is due in court later this month.
