PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The election of 2016 is wrapping up on November 8, 2016 and the results for the local ballot measures are in.

Voters in Multnomah County have declined a change that extends the term limit for elected officials to 3 consecutive years and the proposal to change the sheriff position to an appointed role.

Voters approved the measure to limit contributions and expenditures for Multnomah County candidate elections.
