GRESHAM, Ore. (KOIN) — An “oddly disguised” man has allegedly robbed a series of banks in the Seattle and Portland areas.
The suspect is between 18 and 25 years old, 150 pounds, about 5-foot-9-inches tall and has dark hair.
When he robbed 2 banks in the Portland area on November 8, he was covered in orange paint.
Around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, the suspect demanded cash from the Gresham Key Bank on SE Burnside Rd. but fled before he got anything. Later Tuesday morning, the same man robbed a Key Bank in Aloha.
FBI agents in Seattle are helping with the case and believe this man is the same suspect, who they’ve called the “Harry Potter Bandit” because they say he looks like the character.
Gresham Police ask anyone with information to call Detective Aaron Turnage at 503.618.3136.
