PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A wild pursuit came to a crashing end Monday morning along Southeast Powell Blvd.

Police arrested 23-year-old Peter Georgiy Pukay of Damascus. The chase came to an end when the tire of Pukay’s pickup truck came off.

Pukay had been chased by deputies for miles and officers had made many attempts to stop him. At one point, he drove through a yard and nearly hit a home and even crashed into another car but kept going.

Pukay also crashed into several postal vehicles parked at the U.S. Post Office in Gresham during the chase.

Authorities from Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, Gresham Police, Oregon State Police and Portland Police assisted with the pursuit.

He is charged with an array of crimes and a parole violation.
