Police: Suspect in silver pickup shoots, injures man

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man was hospitalized after someone in a silver pickup truck shot him in Southeast Portland Sunday evening, police said.

The shooting happened at 5:45 p.m. on SE Powell Boulevard and SE 52nd Avenue, according to Portland Police Bureau.

Investigators believe the shooter in the silver pickup truck drove off westbound on SE Powell Boulevard. The shooting does not appear to be gang-related, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. His current condition is unknown.
