EUGENE, Ore. (KOIN) – Prosecutors say if convicted, they plan to seek a harsher sentence for a 32-year-old man who is accused of sexually abusing two girls.
Dustin Allen Edblom is now charged with four counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of third-degree sexual abuse. Authorities say Edblom sexually abused two girls under the age of 18 in October.
According to state records, Edblom has been convicted of failing to register as a sex offender. Earlier this year, police in Springfield issued a community alert as they tried to locate Edblom.
Edblom appeared in court on Thursday. His next court date is set for December.
