PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — KOIN 6 Sports Anchor Stan Brock is back in the Big Easy this weekend to induct his best friend into the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame.

Hokie Gajan, a fullback, scout and color analyst with the team for many years, was elected to the Saints Hall of Fame in March, one month before he died. The 56-year-old battled cancer since late 2015.

Stan will escort Hokie’s wife at the ceremony, and will do the coin toss prior to the Saints game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Stan played 16 seasons in the NFL, 13 of them with the Saints. He was chosen the 7th-greatest Saints player in team history.

“I am honored to have been a part of the NFL, the New Orleans Saints, and the San Diego Chargers. I am humbled to have been asked to represent my best friend by his family in his induction into the Saints Hall of Fame,” Stan said. “I am very proud to be a part of the KOIN 6 team and our drive to the ‘championship.'”
