PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Another food cart pod was vandalized overnight just days after the food carts at Portland Mercado were broken into.

Owners at Carts on Foster in SE Portland said 11 carts were vandalized over Tuesday night.

Photos on the Carts on Foster Facebook page show broken windows, damaged awnings and doors ripped off their hinges.

“I knew what I would walk into would be a nightmare and it’s a nightmare,” Salon Bucci cart owner Lisa Bucci said. “When you hit the small guy, it’s just devastating.”

Cart owners are working together to get their businesses back up and running, but for many, that process could take weeks.

Carts at the Mercado, which is about a mile away from Carts on Foster, have been temporarily closed after many were broken into late Sunday.
