John Kitzhaber’s 19-year-old son arrested in DUII case

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The son of former Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber was arrested in Multnomah County on Wednesday afternoon, according to jail records.

Logan G. Kitzhaber, 19, was booked into Multnomah County Jail on charges of DUII, 3rd-degree assault, 4th-degree assault, reckless driving, reckless endangering and second-degree criminal mischief, jail records state.

The warrant for his arrest comes from Lincoln County authorities.

In July, Kitzhaber was injured in a crash on U.S. 101 near Lincoln City.

He later admitted to drinking a beer before sideswiping a motor home.

The former governor paid cash to bail his son out of jail Thursday afternoon.
