James Mauro was driving fast on NW Holcomb Drive when he went to turn onto NW Millstone Way around 6:40 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office said. But he didn’t make the turn and crashed into the yard of a corner house.

Deputies on the scene said his car barely hit the house, but a window broke during the crash. People were home at the time, but no one was hurt, deputies said.

Mauro was arrested on charges of DUII, reckless driving and second-degree criminal mischief.

He’s being held in Washington County Jail.
