PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Google came to Portland Monday to help teach kids how to protect their privacy in an online era.
The Online Safety Roadshow is a 45-minute lesson designed for middle schoolers that teaches students how to be safe and smart while using the internet.
Gov. Kate Brown was at the event at the Hosford Middle School.
Among the topics in the safety presentation: strong passwords, using settings, how to identify scams and being positive while online.
Google partnered with the National Association of Secondary School Principals and iKeepSafe for this program.
