2 kids hurt in 2-vehicle Marion County crash

Both kids were rushed to a Portland area hospital for treatment

MARION COUNTY, Ore. (KOIN) — Two young children were injured, one of them critically, in a 2-vehicle crash around noon in Marion County.

The crash happened at Cordon Road and Swegle Road NE, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said in a release. The children, 4 and 6, were in a vehicle turning from Cordon onto Swegle. An oncoming vehicle collided, injuring the kids.

The 4-year-old was critically hurt, and the 6-year-old was taken for observation. Both are at a Portland area hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
