Video: President Obama endorses Gov. Kate Brown

He encouraged voters to make sure Oregon "continues to have real leadership in Kate Brown"

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — President Obama endorsed Democratic Gov. Kate Brown on Thursday, her campaign announced.

In a recorded campaign video, the president praised Brown for signing legislation raising the state’s minimum wage, getting renewable energy legislation passed and investing in career and technical education.

He encouraged voters to make sure Oregon “continues to have real leadership in Kate Brown.”

Brown’s opponent Republican Bud Pierce has been endorsed by the Portland Tribune.
