Warrant issued for Milwaukie murder victim’s roommate

Dean Boettcher is considered armed and dangerous, according to deputies

MILWAUKIE, Ore. (KOIN) — A Milwaukie man was found dead inside a home Tuesday night and authorities have issued an arrest warrant for his roommate, deputies said.

Matthew Nelson Timmons, 50, was found dead at 11:30 p.m. at his home on the 17000 block of SE Oatfield Road, according to Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials initially said they were looking for 51-year-old Dean Boettcher and a woman in connection with the case. They located the woman as of Wednesday night and said she was no longer considered a person of interest.

Boettcher, who deputies believe lived with the victim in the house where the crime happened, has a warrant out for his arrest in connection with the homicide. He is considered armed and dangerous, deputies said.

His cream-colored Mini Cooper with a black top has Oregon license plates 399HJL.

Anyone who sees Boettcher should call 911 immediately.
