Shop offers $500 reward in chocolate for burglar info

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Portland business is offering to pay $500 in chocolate for information leading to the arrest of a burglar.

Creo Chocolate at 122 NE Broadway St. had its front door broken in on Monday evening.

Nothing was taken, but damage exceeded $750, the business owner said.

“We’re saddened and frustrated something like this happened,” said Kevin Straub, who owns Creo Chocolate with his parents, Janet and Tim Straub. “We have such wonderful support in this neighborhood and the whole community. We’re perplexed why someone would want to do this.”
