PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A 29-year-old man died after crashing his car into a pole in the Powellhurst-Gilbert neighborhood.

The crash was reported around 12:30 a.m. Monday near the intersection of Southeast 118th Avenue and Holgate Boulevard.

Police say the driver was likely speeding when he hit a parked Chevrolet Tahoe and then spun out and hit the pole.

The man’s identity has not been released.
