Man reports stabbing at Beaverton Walmart

Man tells police he was attacked by robbers, later confesses to stabbing himself

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Beaverton Police say a man reported he was stabbed at a Walmart store on SW Murray Blvd. on Monday morning.

The 22-year-old man told police he was attacked by two men during a robbery attempt. He later confessed that he made the story up and stabbed himself.

He was charged with initiating a false report.

His injuries are not life-threatening.
