Driver ejected, seriously injured in crash on Powell

He is expected to survive

A reckless driver hit a curb, rolled his car and was ejected on Powell Blvd on Oct. 8. (KOIN)

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man is being treated for serious injuries after he crashed and was ejected from his car on SE Powell and 96th Ave.

Shortly after noon on Saturday, Oct. 8, officers responded to the crash. Investigators determined that the driver was driving recklessly and hit a curb. His Ford Explorer rolled and he was thrown from the car.

Portland Police say he is expected to survive his injuries. They are speaking to witnesses as part of the investigation.

Both directions of Powell Blvd are closed between 65th and 70th temporarily.
