Keizer Police say the teens chased two 20-year-old women who were leaving an Urgent Care Clinic on Inland Shores Way North on Thursday night around 8:15 p.m. The women were walking across the parking lot when the teen who was not dressed as a clown screamed ‘clown’ at them. The one dressed as a clown then ran towards them.

They felt threatened and ran back to the clinic, where they had to pound on locked doors to be let inside.

Police responded to the scene, where another witness came forward and said she also saw the teens chasing the women.

The teens were found by police in the parking lot of Lakepoint Apartments on Lakepoint Place North where they admitted to scaring the women as part of a prank that has been shared on social media. One of the teens told an officer that he saw it on YouTube and thought it was funny.

Officials seized the clown costume. The teens were issued criminal citations for disorderly conduct in the second degree.
