Police: Man hurts 3 people, damages 4 cars in brawl

1 person suffered head trauma, 2 stabbed during different attacks

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 21-year-old man is in jail after assaulting one person and stabbing two others, according to police.

The investigation started around 10:15 p.m. Monday when police were called to reports of an assault at Southeast 33rd and Belmont. When they arrived, police found a person suffering from a serious head injury. The person was taken to the hospital with blunt force trauma injuries.

Police checked the area for the suspect but were unable to locate anyone.

A short time later, at 10:48 p.m. officers got reports of a disturbance at Southeast 9th and Washington.

When police got to that scene, they found a fight taking place. Two people had been stabbed. None of the injuries were serious. Four cars were damaged during the melee, according to police.

Both incidents have been linked to Trevor D. Hall, according to police. He is being held at the Multnomah County Detention Center. Police have charged him with three counts of second-degree assault.

He is due in court Tuesday.
