PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man was attacked on Sunday night after he refused to purchase marijuana from two suspects, deputies say.

Authorities were called at 10:30 p.m. in response to an assault near Southwest 257th Avenue and Southwest Hensley Road. When they arrived, they discovered a man with minor injuries who had been attacked for refusing to buy marijuana from Yafeth Pozos, 19, of Fairview and a minor, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.

As the victim fled the area, one of the attackers fired a gun at him but missed.

The suspects were found later at a nearby apartment complex.

Pozos was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on suspicion of robbery, and the minor was taken to a juvenile detention center.
