PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Beaverton man was killed in a crash near Grass Valley in Sherman County on Sunday.

Oregon State Police say James Robinson, 57, was critically injured and later died after losing control on his 1969 Pontiac GTO and crashing with a 2015 Ford pickup towing a horse trailer on Highway 97.

The driver and three passengers in the Ford were uninjured. Two horses in the trailer were also uninjured.

Authorities say speed was likely a factor in the crash.
