Autopsy showed Apache Rose Hightower died of homicidal violence

ST. HELENS, Ore. (KOIN) — The body of a 24-year-old Portland woman was found near St. Helens Tuesday, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said.

A passerby reportedly found Apache Rose Hightower’s body around 4:30 p.m. on Pittsburg Road about a mile from Salmonberry Lake, deputies said.

Investigators used fingerprints to identify her body.

Autopsy results showed she died as a result of homicidal violence, deputies said.
