PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — MAX is back.

After 2 weeks of delays and detours for the Rose Quarter improvements, the MAX lines are back on regular service.

The project replaced switches, realigned the track and upgraded signals in what is one of the original MAX lines — 30 years old on Monday. The projects aren’t done, only paused: the next big MAX project is set for downtown Portland in Spring 2017.

TriMet officials said over those 30 years, MAX trains have traveled almost 77 milion miles and provided 668 million trips.
