CANBY, Ore. (KOIN) — The body of a Lake Oswego man was recovered from the Willamette River Sunday morning, about 15 hours after he slipped under a dock near the Canby Ferry.

Jason Allen Kosola was not wearing a life vest when he fell off the dock around 7:50 p.m. Saturday. Emergency crews were called and rescuers tried for about 90 minutes to find him. But the setting sun made efforts difficult, and the decision was made to suspend the search for the night.

Around 11 a.m. Sunday, Kosala’s body was found and recovered. He was 46.

KOIN 6 News will have more information as it develops.
