Arrests made in McMinnville gang shooting case

Four arrests have been made and police expect more to come

MCMINNVILLE, Ore. (KOIN) — Several suspects involved an August 6 gang shooting were arrested after detectives gathered enough evidence during their investigation.

Witnesses told police a man got out of his car and fired several rounds into a car that was stopped behind his. The driver of that car drove forward, hitting the shooter and injuring his leg.

Other people inside the injured shooter’s car helped him and got way. Witnesses said only the shooter was injured.

The prime suspect in the shooting is 19-year-old Gustavo Andalon, who was arrested on charges of attempted murder, unlawful use of a weapon, pointing a firearm at another and reckless endangering.

Based on evidence detectives found, 3 other men were also arrested for their involvement. Jose Andalon, 21, Jorge Jacobo, 18, and Jose Marquez-Gonzalez, 20, were all arrested on various charges and are being help at the Yamhill County Correctional Facility, McMinnville police said.

Police say they expect to arrest more suspects involved in the incident.
