Canby woman faces 30 felonies in $145K embezzlement

SHERWOOD, Ore. (KOIN) — A Canby woman who allegedly embezzled $145,000 from Sherwood Family Medicine over the past year was arrested Wednesday on 30 felonies.

The investigation began in June 2015 when the business called Sherwood police about money missing from their accounts. After nearly a year, office manager Sarah Lenore Ahschlager was taken into custody.

The 30 felonies she faces includes multiple counts each of aggravated theft, aggravated identity theft, identity theft and forgery. The 39-year-old is being held in the Washington County Jail on $200,000 bail.
