HILLSBORO, Ore. (KOIN) — A Hillsboro home suffered $20,000 in damage from a fire Friday evening.
Neighbors and the Hillsboro Airport control tower reported the fire on Josephine Street around 8:30 p.m.
The fire was spreading from the wood framed house along a fence toward some trees, but firefighters contained it in 10 minutes.
Investigators say the fire started in a camping trailer next to the house. The trailer was destroyed and the siding, attic and roof of the house were damaged.
The homeowners were not home, but their adult son was. No one was injured.
