LONGVIEW, Wash. (KOIN) — Two separate motorcycle crashes in Longview seriously injured the drivers on Saturday.

The first crash happened just after 5 p.m., Longview Fire Department officials said. A man wearing a half-helmet crashed in front of 4433 Constitution Lane. Firefighters arrived and called for Life Flight, which took him to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. His condition has not been released.

The second happened around 11:25 p.m. in the 500 block of Tenant Way. The motorcyclist was driving erratically before hitting another vehicle, 911 callers said. The motorcycle burst into flames and the driver, who was wearing a full-face helmet, was found “several hundred feet behind the motorcycle,” officials said. He was rushed to a hospital and LifeFlight was on standby.

Both crashes remain under investigation.
